William Ryan- 14lbs 9oz- 26 1/8 inches

Jordan Rylie- 17lbs even- 26 1/8 inches
yep, Ryan is a bit smaller than Jordan. We have expressed our concerns with the doctor but she doesn't seem concerned. She said he has become more mobile so he is burning more calories than her. We are still concerned because he fell off his own growth curve (he has never been on the growth chart) but we can't force him to eat.... hopefully he will have balanced out some for the next appointment in December.

The babies just started holding their bottles during feedings, well briefly. Both enjoy standing but need assistance. I am still making alot of their baby foods, but we have fed them some jar foods for more of a variety. I am still pumping milk for them, I have rented the pump until January 20th- looking forward to not being stuck to the pump several times a day. So they will get fresh milk for 13 months & then we have a HUGE frozen stash that will probably last them another 4-5 months! Go free milk!!
We just switched from disposable diapers to cloth. It isn't like cloth diapering when we were little, it is really easy. I do diaper laundry 2 or 3 times a week and there are some SUPER cute prints/patterns out there (in the pictures- the pumpkin butts are cloth diapers). We are very happy with that switch as it sickened me all that we were throwing away each week in disposables. Infant potty training is still going on, we don't expect them to be fully potty trained- this is more to get them familiar with the potty & know what it is for. It is more of Bill & I timing it correctly, in time they will know what they are doing & be able to sign that they need to go. Hopefully!
They are so interested in what Oscar (the cat) and the dogs are doing. We are gonna do our first trip to the zoo tomorrow. They are both saying mama, dada & baba.. but I don't think they know what they mean yet. Jordan has really taken a liking to a drum we got her last week.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
Thank you all for your love & support during the last couple years. We have gone through so much heartache to have a family and now we have so much love for these two beautiful babies. Life isn't always easy but I wouldn't change them for the world!
It sounds like they are doing great! Jack dropped off his growth curve too, and our pediatrician said that sometimes they make a new growth curve, they would worry if he continued to drop. Did they enjoy the zoo?
ReplyDeleteI think they were too low in the stroller to see anything. I know EXACTLY how they feel! :) Next time we go, we will take the carriers so they are at our level.
