Babies' Medical Updates:

Still no word about the EEG... we went in there yesterday & asked about it. We were told the doctor hadn't signed it yet, so it is still considered a "draft" and they couldn't release the info.

Yesterday Jordan had her followup Echo. Good news: it isn't as bad as it was at birth! Bad news: the PDA is still there. Doc said the hole is about the size of a strand of hair. He is still hoping it will close on its own in the next couple years- so we go back for another echo in 2 yrs. He said it wouldn't interfere with her being a future pro snowboarder :) We do have to watch out for infections tho, that could be deadly for her. We were hoping that she would come back a-Ok. She has been denied life insurance coverage because of the PDA...

Earlier today the GI nurse called! All of Ryan's samples of biopsy (s) came back normal! Yeah!! His sweat test (this would have shown if he had cystic fibrosis) came back normal! YEAH!! All of his blood work (one of the tests would have shown if he had H. Pylori) came back normal! YEAH!!! the pH probe test (where he had that thing in his nose over night & the protectors on his arms) came back..... sadly, not normal. Our poor little lamb has SEVERE Reflux. The prevacid that he has been on for almost a year hasn't been doing enough. So he will take what Bill takes- Nexium, just at a lower dose.

I am not happy with their pediatrician, we have been complaining & complaining to her for months & months.... she would just say that he is a normal fussy baby! Well that is not the case... sad that he has been suffering because she didn't want to do a referral to a specialist! Grrrrr. If she didn't just give birth to twins herself, I would give her a piece of my mind! We may be looking for a new pediatrician soon.

We are happy to have some answers.
