What A Weekend

Well Saturday was a day of rest.  I was super sick, I think I had some bad chicken the night before.  I had chills, hot flashes, I was sick, sick, sick, had a headache and stomach ache, my knees, ankles and hips hurt, couldn't sleep. Bill took the sick kiddos outside until it got too hot and let me sleep off/on.  Ryan still has low fever & Jordan still has a nasty cough.  I am well and back to myself today.

Sunday, we rode our bikes and kids in the bike trailer almost 6 miles and let the kids play at the elementary school near us.  They had a great time!  Then I got ready and went into town to apply for a job.  I have been shopping at Gymboree since the kids were born, I only shop clearance but I like their good quality and cute clothing.  The staff has always been VERY nice there & one told me last year that I should come to work there.  Well with all this foundation nonsense, I have no choice but to get a job.  So Gymboree is the first place that I thought of after Talbots because they have longer hours in the evening after Bill gets off work and a discount on the kids clothing is always great!

I spoke to the manager yesterday & she was giddy that I was applying!  She was like "I almost most don't need to interview you because of your experience and we "know" you."  She did ask me somethings and we talked about the company.  She said the job would be a Lead Sales person (like an Assistant-to the Assistant Manager) so I would open/close the store and the pay would be better than a regular sales position.  She said it would be 15-25hrs or more.  That worried me because I can't work that many hours & still see Bill or the kids.

Just an hour ago I had a telephone interview with the District Manager who seemed really nice and she said more like 12-20hrs per week and possibly more at the holidays time.  That made me feel better about the hours.  She did say that our summer vacation could be a problem tho.  But we will see, I might not like the job and not be there that long or they might really like me and be flexible.  Anyway, the District Manager seemed to like me and she was forwarding my application to the Loss Prevention Manager for another interview.  Seems odd to have 3 interviews for a part time position, but okay...

Today I met Margaret a co-worker from Talbots.  We went to the new In/Out Burger.  They have been open 3 wks and there was still a line for over 3 blocks for the drive through and they still had about a dozen police officers directing traffic.  Insane!  FOR A BURGER?!?!?!  Anyway, it was great to see her.  She bought Bill's laptop for her grandson- which will help pay for the engineer that is coming to the house Thursday.  Thanks Margaret again for lunch & getting the computer!

We have a foundation guy coming today at 4pm.  I will update this blog to let you know how it goes.

My consignment sale is coming up in mid-September.  I have stuff ALL over the house. Such a mess!   So hard to get organized when you are prepping for this sale, trying to put stuff on Craig's List and Ebay ~ just so much to do!!!

Well the twins are napping, guess I should get to work!
