I have done a couple consignment sales recently with clothing & toys that the babies just don’t use anymore. I have made over $700 after commissions!! Cha-Ching!! That funded the new clothing that they needed for spring/summer! Check out the video called "New Clothes" And they are totally outfitted now until winter. Ryan is wearing 12 months & Jordan is wearing 18 months. Well those sizes are really big on both of them. Ryan was wearing 6-9 month jeans the other day….. skinny boy!
Still cloth diapering, I feel really good about doing this, we were just throwing away so much every day. There are SO many cute cloth diapers out there, it is hard to resist buying alot of them!
We are still doing infant potty training. They don’t seem to know that they "gotta go" yet. So it is really more about good timing on Bill & I’s part. They are super proud of themselves when they go. They have both woken from naps/over night still dry!
The babies are still drinking frozen milk, we have plenty in the freezer! I am so glad that I pumped so much milk, that has saved us a lot of $$. Ryan is getting calorie boosters with each bottle & mixed in his lunches. Yep, they are still on bottles (just twice a day now, water in sippy cups the rest of the day). We were told by the nutrionist that it was better to wait on taking bottles away, Ryan needs as many calories as possible. I guess when you move to sippy cups kids will reject them for a few days & take in alot less milk/calories. So we are wanting him to plump up before we attempt that. Our goal is by summer vacation.
We bought their toddler beds about a month ago- had a 20% off coupon! We have cribs that convert to beds but the convert kit costs as much as an entire toddler bed! So I figured, let’s buy these beds & sell the cribs before they get recalled (they are dropside cribs & they are getting recalled left/right). We would like to put them together now but we figure we will wait until after summer vacation so that way we are not going to beds, back to cribs this summer, then back to beds.
They are not really talking. Once in a great while we hear something that might sound like cat/dog/up/uh-oh but more like babble. They both enjoy the board books with things they can touch- like pretend fur on animals. They really like books that they can open little "doors" and see what is behind the "door".
Ryan still isn't eating much. For example Jordan ate over 1/2 of a pancake (it was 7 inches in diameter) Ryan ate 3 bites (the size of a dimes). This is what concerns us so much. He is now gaining weight a little, just wish he would eat more. We tried Kentucky Fried Chicken the other night & they both ate: Green Beans (they are nice/soft with lots of flavor), mashed potatoes & gravy & they actually ate Grilled Chicken (it was nice & moist). We were surprised & happy!
I am thrilled to have a spa day coming up! Thank you so much Bill & Alice!!! I will get an hr massage, a 75 minute pedicure, over an hr facial, hair cut/style & lunch! I am so excited!!!
Bill's work is doing good. They are sending him to New Orleans for a week at the beginning of June. (Mama, wanna come for a visit??)
And then we go vacation June 27th until July 31st. We are flying, thanks again to Bill & Alice! This shall be fun, two 18 month olds on a plane. Yikes!! We are thinking of driving next year, maybe. This way we can stop in Ohio on the way. Wouldn't that be great!?!?!?!
Much to do..........
