Bill & I were in the kitchen cleaning up after dinner. We heard a LOUD thud, I said "Oh that didn't sound good" Then nothing, so we thought the kids banged a riding toy into the wall. Then all of a sudden a blood curdling SCREAM, we ran in our bedroom. Ryan was on the floor hysterical! I scooped him up & saw a HUGE bump getting bigger by the second! I ran in the living room, sat on the couch rocking him. He threw up on me. Bill said he might have a concussion- so off to Cook's Childrens ER we went. We were there for 4 hrs, they did a CT scan & they said his little brain was fine. Thank goodness! We think he must have tripped & hit his head on the window sill or a cute little sister pushed him (cause she was sure acting quiet & guilty). All got home & in bed by 12:30 am.
You can't tell very well but his little forehead is all swolen & he has a big bruise from where he must have hit the window sill.
ER Doc said he could end up with two black eyes in a couple days as the swelling goes down... great! People are really gonna wonder what I did to my kid when we go out in public.
