Plugging along...

We are thinking of asking ECI to stop coming out to our home. All they are currently doing is weight checks and in June we have to start paying $50 a month for their services, I can weigh the kids for free. And when they come out, I usually get stressed.

We are to have an occupational therapist come out, but it takes forever for the services to begin! The twins were evaluated April 17th- one month ago yesterday and still no 1st appointment.

Ryan's GI doc gave us samples of a new calorie booster- Duocal. It is a tasteless powder & can be added to about anything. So we are adding it to everything. We were using a sunflower oil based calorie booster called Benecalorie but it is a liquid and more difficult to add to things and Bill figured out that the Benecalorie is a tiny less in calories than olive oil- olive oil is MUCH cheaper!

We are hoping whatever sickness the kids have had for the last month is going away! Today they ate much better so far: Breakfast- 2 eggs, half/half & ½ container of Benecalorie. 2 toast with butter. ALL GONE! Jordan ate most of the toast, but Ryan had a handful of Cheerios.. next time I will scramble 3 eggs and add more Benecalorie.

Lunch- Lil Crunchies (They are a Gerber snack that looks like Cheetos), 4 slices of medium cheddar cheese, Ramen Noodles with the rest of the Benecalorie in it- divided out in 4 bowls, mixed veggie with Duocal, gold fish crackers, a jar of Stage 2 baby food chicken/gravy- didn’t eat much Ramen but the rest- gone!! And some Cheerios.

They are still rejecting liquids, so odd. We have tired so many different cups & they seem to like a cup for one day & then that is it. We have sorta given up on the breastmilk right now & doing organic whole milk.

I am wondering if the kids would prefer a sippy cup with a hard spout, all of ours are straws or a soft spout. It is all a guessing game.
