His last weigh in was over a month ago. Today they measured him & he grew 1/4 inch but didn't even gain an ounce. This is so exhausting, stressing out about his weight. Every meal & snack is leaving me in tears because my babies will barely eat. They are still eating mainly purees and refusing almost everything else. They will NOT drink out of the sippy cups, today they maybe had an ounce or two of milk each. The pedi just says that they will eat when they are hungry & they will drink when they are thirsty. After them barely eating anything at lunch today, Ryan refusing a snack and then barely eating dinner- I am calling the doctor again tomorrow.
On Friday morning they both have an evalution for Feeding Therapy. I am really hoping that they both get into the program, but sadly it takes 4-6 wks to start the program after the evaluation.... we will be on vacation then. Seems like we can never win.
Things could be worse, I know that. I need to try to stress out less but when you have 5 feedings a day & they are just ignored, spit out, thrown on the floor, or pushed away each time- you get worn out. This is happening everyday, all day.
I am exhausted...
